Visiting Fisher River
Fisher River is located about 220 kilometres north of Winnipeg, Manitoba. We have an on-reserve population of around 1700. In addition to many annual events, Fisher River is proudly hosting the 2011 National Cree Gathering on August 5, 6 and 7th. Cree people from all over Canada will be welcomed into our community. Leaders of Fisher River Cree Nation (FRCN), the Manitoba Government and the Canadian Parks & Wilderness Society (CPAWS) met at the Legislative Buildings today (July 4) to announce the Fisher Bay Provincial Park.
