Responsible for
maintaining an accurate filing system for Chief and
Council and maintaining a central filing system at the
front. Maintain house and land transfer upon
request from band membership. Order and maintain a
current inventory of office supplies, operate band
office radio, also responsible for everyday office
duties.
Claudette Choken - Community Participation Worker -
Probations
Assist and place
clients for Fine Option and Community Service Orders, to
help elders ie. cutgrass, wood etc. Monitor
clients who are on probations. Attend court when
needed.
Shirley N. Cochrane - Social Services Administrator
Responsible for
providing an effective Social Service Program and
Delivery System to the Fisher River Cree Nation
membership. Networking with other local programs
to promote education and employment opportunities
Harold Cochrane Jr. has
practised law since 1995 and he provides the Fisher
River Cree Nation with full comprehensive in-house legal
services. He is also a partner at the law firm of
D'Arcy & Deacon LLP in Winnipeg.
Assists the Special
Constable on crime prevention and intervention, public
safety, as well as working along with community agencies
to promote and maintain healthy community living, and
other related duties as assigned by the Special
Constable.
Carl has been a member of Fisher River's council since
August of 2007. He's served as a member of our
council previously.

David Crate has
been the Chief of Fisher River Cree Nation Chief since August

Prepare outgoing
correspondence to various levels of government as well

Scheduling Chief and Council's meetings with band

needed by Chief and Council.
The Grader/CAT
Operator is responsible for maintaining and the up keep
of all roads in the community. He is also involved in
the development of new driveways in Fisher River. The
Grader/CAT Operator is also involved in the docking
project as well as other assigned duties.
Responsible for
flood preparation, recruiting of volunteer fire
fighters, responding to fire emergencies, as well as
other related duties pertaining to emergency services.
Responsibilities
include general law enforcement, crime prevention and
intervention, public safety, keeping the peace and
protection of property; work with community
agencies to promote and maintain healthy community
living and develop Safety programs for the well being of
all community members.
Responsible for all
incoming / outgoing mail, money orders, couriers,
stamps, and post office inventory on a daily basis. The
Postmaster is also responsible for assigning mail boxes
to the membership of Fisher River Cree Nation.
Implement and
coordinate Illegal drug testing for all Fisher River
Cree Nation employees. Assist in development of
policies related to FRCN Illegal Drug By-Law. Create
awareness of Illegal drugs and negative consequences of
becoming involved in Illegal drug activities. Assist in
the development of a comprehensive drug strategy for
community agencies, Charles Sinclair School and other
resources.
Networking with
community agencies and organizations to promote positive
life choices.
Prepare payroll for
band staff, FRCN Gaming Commission employees, HRDC,
Arena, Daycare & Headstart and all other projects.
Responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivables and day
to day financial matters as required.
Keith Sinclair has
been a member of council since 2005, as well as from
1993 - 2001
