Employment Assistance Service
 

Employment Assistance Services assist unemployed Fisher River members to prepare for, find and keep jobs by providing a variety of employment related services. 

Employment Services can be tailored to the specific needs of individual participants

Eligible Participants

All unemployed Fisher River members’ area eligible, including

-          Employment Insurance clients

-          Income assistance clients; and

-          Individuals threatened with job loss

 

What is the objective of Employment Assistance Services?

The objective of E.A.S. is to providing a full range of seamless employment programs and serviced, in cases where it is the most effective and efficient way to meet our client’s needs

 

Types of Services

Employment services are provided directly by the FRHRP and can include all, or a combination of, the following services:

-    resume writing assistance

-         self services labour market information through use of internet job search techniques

-         job search assistance

-         interview skills upgrading

-         use of telephones, fax machines, computers to find or confirm employment

 

 

Financial Assistance

FRHRP may offer mobility funding for individual Fisher River members. This funding can be used to assist individuals:

-          traveling to confirmed employment,  job, or training interview

-          assist with purchase of required training supplies
