Job Creation Partnerships
 

Job Creation Partnerships encourage the coming together of community partners to support active collaboration with the view of creating sustainable employment.  FRHRP Department can assist with income support for participants and other related costs to your project.

Job Creation Partnerships projects can also be used to cover the wages of Facilitators and overhead costs.

You are eligible... if you are an Employer, Organization, or any Community Partner that is willing and able to assist unemployed individuals gain valuable work experience and transferable employment related skills.  

What are Job Creation Partnerships?

"Job Creation Partnerships" is a labour market program delivered by FRHRP to assist unemployed individuals gain work experience and insight as to the work force and improve their long-term employment prospects, by working in partnerships with employers in developing employment opportunities.


 

 

What is the objective Job Creation Partnerships?

The overall objective of Job Creation Partnerships is to work in partnership with employers to support long-term employment development opportunities at the local level, by creating work experience and labour market development activities.

 

 

 

Who can apply?

Community Partners such as Local Businesses, Educational Institutions, Non-Profit Organizations, Fisher River Cree Nation Administration, and Community Development Corporations

Who is eligible to participate?

Fisher River members registered under the Indian Act, who are unemployed and have multiple barriers to employment; and in need of a specialized, tailor-made combination of interventions not otherwise available; and who are a resident of Manitoba,

Currently receiving Employment Insurance.

 

 

What is the length a project can receive funding?

Job Creation Partnership projects can receive funding through the negotiation of a contribution agreement up to a duration of 42 weeks, pending on clients needs.

 

What income support do participants receive?

Participants can receive income support by way of E.I. Benefits to the end of their benefit period, which may/can be enhanced to prevailing wages rates depending on occupation position. Other costs can be towards material and capital costs if without assistance, the activities could not be undertaken
