Hello there!! We started a three month Transition program at the Verna J. Kirkness Bldg. The facilitators are Ruth Murdock and Greg Murdock. They are from Fisher River but they never resided here. The students are very enthusiastic about the program and they will miss Ruth when she completes her part of the program. The next part of the program will be for two weeks and will be delivered by Dan Freeman. Ruth’s program was for a five weeks.

I am still working on what the next part of the program will be comprised of.

We will be hiring a Transition Program Coordinator in February. We will also be hiring for one Work Experience Program worker in mid March. Nicole, Natasha and Serena’s term positions will be complete on March 17, 2006. Please watch out for the job postings.

Youth Support Worker Program:

Janet McKay and Rusty Mallette are the youth support workers at the present time. They are both doing a fantastic job. Janet is a very hard worker and she has initiative. Rusty has a nice personality and the youth respect him.
